It’s Monday night I’m lying on the couch, watching The Big Bang Theory. Today was a very good day, I meet two people I really wanted to meet and had those chats that make you feel empowered to your next chapter.
But I can’t help but think about last weekend! It was such a perfect combination of touristing (visiting all the monuments) and feeling like a local (at the Wizards game). I didn’t even have the time to write here; because when I’d get home I’d just pass out into sleep. Hahahah
On Saturday morning, I went on the bus city tour through Washington’s iconic landmarks and learned so much about DC. This city is so rich in history and culture; it’s just fascinating and motivating to be here and experience it on the ground. All the places were amazing, but getting close to the White House is always an expirience, I get goosebumps knowing I’m there, imagine if I could get inside. Hahahaha I’d die!
The White House is fully decorated with Christmas lights and the red lace is in remembrance of world Aids day (December 1st)
The best part of Saturday was going to the Capital Arena to watch NBA’s game Washington Wizards X Brooklyn Nets with my Ghanaian beauty Esinam and other friends. Felt like a local hahahah. I can’t even explain how excited I was and how exciting it was, and what an experience it was. The energy in that place is just something else. The Washington Wizards won, and aparentely we gave them luck because they had been losing. Hahahaha. We ended the night looking for food, but only found some clubs open and ended up eating some really sweet desert – churros with Nutella. Hahahaha
Sunday morning was simply special. Went to the Arlington National Cemetery with Carlos and Lukas. I don’t like cemeteries; but this one is something else, the peace and serenity you feel when you get there is unexplainable. It’s paralyzing, it’s calming, so sacred, but for some reason it’s empowering, it’s invigorating. Thinking about all the great lives (man and woman) laid there makes you feel like God’s purpose for you will manifest no matter how long it takes in this life time.
Feeling blessed is the right description of my state of emotions right now! I am so grateful for everything!
